Panthers 71-113 Everton

19.04.2008 - BBL

Everton Tigers finished off their inaugral BBL Championship campaign in emphatic fashion with a 71-113 victory over Team Birmingham Panthers at the John Sanford Centre on Saturday evening.

The Tigers broke the game open from the outset outscoring the Panthers 23-7 in the opening minutes.

The Panthers tried valiantly to claw the deficit back, and got back to within twenty-two points at 36-58 at the half.

The Tigers put the result beyond any doubt as they started the second half in much the same vein as the first with a 27-5 burst to take the score out to 41-85.

The Panthers had no response for the Tigers offense as the visitor ran out comfortable winners.

David Aliu led all scorers in the game with 24 points for the Tigers, while Adam Williams top-scored for the Panthers with 18 points personal.
