Team Birmingham Panthers
After the demise of the Birmingham Bullets , the need for second-city representation in British Professional Basketball was highlighted. Therefore, in January 2007 came the formation of Team Birmingham Basketball Club (TBBC) and will compete as Team Birmingham Panthers in the BBL .
Team Birmingham Panthers is committed not only to becoming one of the leading basketball teams in the BBL and Europe but the newly formed franchise has the ambitious dedication to establish an elite basketball culture in the West Midlands and its region by concentrating on community, commerce and developments through a strong and valuable brand.
Mission Statement:
The TBBC aims to become the best basketball club within the United Kingdom by offering a unique brand of championship basketball and entertainment. We aim to build a club focused on the development and retention of British athletes, while attracting quality players from around the world. Our approach will enable the TBBC to build a competitive team which will rival some of the best in Europe .
